Cavill & Cruikshank
Cavill & Cruikshank was formed in 2025 by Louise Cavill & Dan Cruikshank as they both previously worked in reputable local accountancy firms for over 35 years between them.
With both holding different skill sets in terms of areas of expertise, they decided to start their own practice on the South coast.
Dan Cruikshank
Chartered Tax Advisor
Dan is a chartered tax advisor (CTA) having worked in the accountancy industry since 2007. He has a range of tax experience dealing with the following areas:-
- Inheritance/trust tax planning.
- Capital gains tax advice.
- Non-resident tax advice.
- Tax compliance.
- Exit strategies and company reorganisations.
Dan enjoys working closely with clients to provide a personalised service to ensure they both understand the tax implications but also assist to provide recommendations on how clients can minimise the tax they pay.
In Dan’s spare time he enjoys spending time with his family, long dog walks and the odd round of golf.
Louise Cavill
Chartered Accountant
Louise started her career in 2004 for a local firm initially as a Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA). She later became a Chartered Accountant (ACA) and Trusts and Estates Practitioner (TEP). Her experience covers most areas of accountancy and tax and in the following areas:-
- Accounting software
- Corporate accounting
- Partnerships and sole trader accounting
- Mangement accounts
- Tax compliance
- Probate assistance
Louise is a keen communicator, always making sure that the clients are fully informed and understand the implications. She builds strong relationships with clients and is always on hand to help.
Outside of work Louise and her husband are keen runners and part of the Hastings Runners running club.
